Jump start 2017 with one of these 2 series!  For those looking to shape up and trim down join us for Pilates Fusion Bootcamp starting Monday, January 16 at 4:30pm. If your looking to start your yoga practice our Foundations Yoga for Beginners Series starting Sunday, January 15th at 4pm is for you! Pre-registration required for both series. If you are interested in either of these series, but the time/day does not work for you, please email or call us and we will do our best to put together another series! Bellbrook's Bicentennial Celebration Event

Hello fellow members of Green Leaf Pilates and Wellness Studio (GLPW)! This month is Bellbrook's Bicentennial (200 years of establishment) and we at GLPW wanted to celebrate with Bellbrook during the Sugar Maple Festival (going on 4/22-4/24), as well as take this opportunity to thank you and tell you how much of a privilege it is to work with so many wonderful people! We feel so lucky to be able to hear your stories and create a support system not only as instructors, but through the community of people who are attending classes with you. We are all on this journey together and words couldn't thank you enough for supporting us as a small business, so that we can continue supporting you! We would like to say thank you this upcoming week by offering FREE CLASSES ON 4/19, 4/20, and 4/21!    This will be awesome for those who already love and attend their usual classes, as well as give you an opportunity to try out different services! PLEASE BRING YOUR FRIENDS and sign up online to save your spots!

Make it Happen March Event

Welcome March, spring, sunshine, and warmer days! The word spring has many meanings, but one of many reasons I love spring, is it's meaning for elasticity and resilience. Resilience is something to pride yourself of with every winter you make it through. Winter can have many warm and positive aspects, but can be very difficult and challenging for the psyche, thus testing our ability to be resilient, keep up good habits, and maintain a positive attitude. When spring finally comes around, it feels good to applaud myself for my resiliency of getting through another winter, as you should too! Not only does spring test how strong we are, but it also brings ideas of springtime, its many beautiful colors, smells, and opportunities that can rejuvenate us from a long winter!

Valentines Day Yoga

Valentine's Day is around the corner and Green Leaf has just the event to make the day extra special! I was drawn to yoga 8 years ago as a means to cross-train, improve flexibility, and heal sports injuries.  In the past two years yoga became a way for me to manage personal hardships, emotional, psychological, and physical stress.  I realized that at any time I needed to feel grounded I returned to my mat and began to reap the benefits of a continuous practice.  This realization became the catalyst my journey of exploring the spiritual side of yoga and deepening my personal practice.  Yoga has allowed me the space to find clarity and cultivate mind-body awareness and acceptance. 

Currently a student I will complete the 200 hour teacher training program through Day Yoga in June of 2015.  I am also a registered prenatal yoga teacher through ShantiMom.   When not teaching or practicing yoga I enjoy spending time with my daughter, rowing, cooking, reading, and anything outdoors.  Being in nature or on the water is medicine for my soul! I’m also a certified labor doula in the Dayton area providing childbirth education, supporting and coaching mothers through labor and delivery.

My classes range from peaceful and relaxing to energetic, sweat-inducing vinyasa flows.  Yoga is different for every body and my goal is to provide verbal support through a variety of poses and conscious sequencing.  Each class will help build strength, flexibility, and balance, as well as provide the space to find clarity and mental reflection.
